Will the real inspectors please stand up?
Today, fourgrounds and morro decided to take it upon themselves to throw on their (self promoting) hard hats and do a thorough inspection before they make the move upstairs. Using their extensive (???) knowledge in commercial renovations, they didn't leave one beam uninspected. Are they still alive? Well, see for yourself:
We are getting closer and the excitement is growing …
With only a few weeks to go, we are moving along fast towards the completion of our new high-tech facilities. As Adrian mentioned already, it is very hard for us to stay away from grabbing a hammer and helping the construction crews (which are doing an amazing job by the way) but it is probably safer for us all in the end ...
Check back soon for further updates and rock on everybody,
Tobias
demolition subcontractors?
Well they are well into construction upstairs and we are itching to get up there and get our offices set up. Here are a couple photos from the iPhone.
Tobias and I offered to grab a hammer and knock out the existing walls for free but we were turned down as I am pretty sure that breaks almost every permit we have.
Nonetheless things are moving quick and thanks goes to everyone contributing.
I am still debating which corner to install FGs salt water aquarium in our exec office... any preference?

February 12th Update
The facility is starting to take shape. The demolition is done (for the most part). We're starting to frame walls and still finalizing some of the vendors. Things are flying and we had a very productive week. I believe that we'll have a few more pictures up this week. Check back often as within the next couple weeks the place will look completely different.

First Blog Post – February 6,2010
First time blogging - here we go.
We have completed the demotion phase of the project this week. It’s amazing what’s hidden in walls and ceilings when you start exploring. (like 2nd and 3rd ceilings, extra tiles, miscellaneous junk) The crew that Nick from Fercan (our landlord/General Contractor) put together worked their tails off. We had estimated that we needed 3 bins to remove the junk but we ended up with 7.
It’s amazing to see the space open and to visualize what we’re going to end up with in less than 2 months. (yes this keeps me up at night – time is flying) We should have all our trades finalized within the next week and then we’ll really start to see this come together. I hope that we can get pictures up once a week for those who want to track our progress.
Thanks to all the support that we are receiving on this project and I’d like to make a special shout out to our technical committee. They are the group that came together to develop the technological specs for this facility and have put a lot of their time into this project. This committee is comprised of team members from the following organizations:
Fourgrounds Media
Morro Images
Furi Enterprises
Freedomworks
Cerebral Vortex
Silicon Knights
Dragon Chess Interactive.
An extra thanks goes to the technical leads who have given a huge chunk of time, effort and expertise:
Kristen Nater – Fourgrounds Media
Adrian Thiessen – Fourgrounds Media
Tom Madej – Furi Enterprises
Tobias Wiegand – morro Images
Cheers.
Jeff
